CORRUPTION: MADE IN NIGERIA

When the killer plague diseases #Birdflu, #Ebola and #Lassafever were calling, Our Government responded decisively to stop the rampage of the deadly communicable diseases. The Government reacted swiftly then so as not to dent the corporate image of the country in the eyes of the International Community. Maybe, it was due to the fact that the diseases were affecting both the high and mighty in the society.

But something more horrifying and image denting has long plagued the country for years without any actions from the Government to tame the monster. Yes you are RIGHT!! I’m talking about CORRUPTION! The biggest, maddest and deadliest communicable disease since time immemorial! Although it has been business as usual in the country, it seems as though nobody sees it as I do, or maybe they do but would rather go along with the popular saying “if you can’t beat them join them” What a pity!

The founders of our country were the best, they would have tackled this matter and make sure it was done with. I give kudos to our founding fathers like Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Ahamadu Bello, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, Herbert Macaulay, and Chief Obafemi Awolowo for all their selfless efforts left and right in rebuilding and rebranding Nigeria. They left us a peaceful and indivisible entity. They were only concerned with selfless service to humanity and were imbibed with the ambitions to leave a legacy for generations of Nigerian unborn. Like I said earlier they were the best!

Now what we are witnessing is going to leave those guys in complete shock! I believe we have lost all our humanity in this country! See, do you have an idea what we are witnessing now? Not love but Hatred, No unity of purpose, No oneness! Instead we have religious bigotry and unnecessary blood shed among other terrible stuff. Terrible really! It seems that leaders today were very good students of literature that and they happened to pick up the negative lesson from the doctrine of George Orwell’s Animal Farm which states that “All animals are equal but some are more equal than others”.  Recent leaders of Nigeria have proven to be above the law and not accountable to anybody but themselves.

We should take a moment and pray for Present President Muhammadu Buhari; ………………………… We should always remember to be prayerful and thankful to the Supreme Being (Allah, Chineke, Olohun, God) for bringing this man on board at this critical moment of our country’s history and existence. He may not be the messiah we all thought we were voting and yearning for, but as a matter of fact I like to think that he is sent to us by the Supreme Being to free us from managerial recklessness’ of Former President Goodluck Jonathan.  It is generally believed that had he come any later this country would have ground to a halt, due to the heavy burden of corruption unleashed on us the past years. They had a field day looting through #subsidy #bunkering #oilsales #oilblocks #privatization and much more!

 Nigerians Get Up, Yes You! get off your chairs, jobs, houses, cars, luxury, get the hell out of the self-inflicted misery and go help someone out there! Let’s preserve our humanity #BringBackOurHumanity ! Remember Change Begins With You! As for you Mr. Dearest Daddy President Muhammadu Buhari we are praying for you always and wish you the very best of health and great spirit during these trying times!
